About vr.ar

vr.ar is an independent, free project that helps you choose the right VR headset. Instead of a wall of specifications, we built an interactive quiz that recommends a headset based on how you'll actually use it — backed by honest, plain-language guides. We're Spanish-first and fully bilingual, because good VR buying advice in Spanish is genuinely hard to find.

How we choose what to recommend

We cover VR and XR only. We're not a general tech site that touches a hundred topics and adds VR as an afterthought — that focus is the whole point.

Every recommendation weighs several things together:

• The official specifications and real-world behavior of each headset.
• The consensus of specialized media and the VR community — long-term user feedback, forums and discussions where people report how a headset actually holds up after months of use.
• Real value for the price, not just the newest or most expensive option.
• Whether it fits your use case — standalone vs. PC vs. console, budget, what you want to play or do.

We keep the lineup and the prices current, updating as new headsets launch and prices move. And we recommend what genuinely fits — which sometimes means telling you that a cheaper headset is the smarter buy, or that a product isn't worth it. Our guides do exactly that.

How vr.ar is funded

vr.ar is free to use. The site is supported by affiliate commissions (the Amazon Associates Program and other stores) and by advertising.

Affiliate links never cost you anything extra, and — this matters — they never change which headset the quiz recommends or what our guides conclude. Your result is based on your answers, not on which product pays us more.

vr.ar es un proyecto independiente y gratuito que te ayuda a elegir el visor de realidad virtual correcto. En lugar de una pared de especificaciones, armamos un test interactivo que te recomienda un visor según cómo lo vas a usar de verdad — acompañado de guías honestas y en lenguaje claro. Somos un sitio pensado primero en español y totalmente bilingüe, porque buen consejo de compra de VR en español es genuinamente difícil de encontrar.

Cómo elegimos qué recomendar

Cubrimos solo VR y XR. No somos un sitio de tecnología general que toca cien temas y suma el VR de pasada — ese foco es justamente el punto.

Cada recomendación pesa varias cosas en conjunto:

• Las especificaciones oficiales y el comportamiento real de cada visor.
• El consenso de los medios especializados y de la comunidad de VR — la experiencia de usuarios a largo plazo, foros y discusiones donde la gente cuenta cómo se banca un visor después de meses de uso.
• La relación real entre lo que ofrece y lo que cuesta, no solo lo más nuevo o lo más caro.
• Si encaja con tu caso de uso — autónomo vs. PC vs. consola, presupuesto, qué querés jugar o hacer.

Mantenemos la lista y los precios al día, actualizando a medida que salen visores nuevos y cambian los precios. Y recomendamos lo que de verdad conviene — lo que a veces significa decirte que un visor más barato es la compra más inteligente, o que un producto no vale la pena. Nuestras guías hacen exactamente eso.
